Why it mattered
It is the first step in the practical development of offshore wind in Azerbaijan and the wider Caspian region. The project company is studying a designated site in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian, where a floating LIDAR system from the Spanish provider EOLOS is already installed.
What we did
- Support Azerbaijan Green Energy Company and Clean Energy Capital through the research, assessment and preparation phase
- Advise the project company under its Implementation Agreement with the Ministry of Energy
- Supported the project through its first field milestone: installation of the floating LIDAR at the site
