Shovkat is an Experienced Legal Associate with over three years of professional experience advising domestic and international clients on corporate governance, commercial contracts, migration, employment, intellectual property, energy and land projects.
Her experience spans all stages of business operations, from project commencement and market entry to corporate restructuring and liquidation. She has advised on company incorporations, land acquisition, permitting, shareholder and capital changes, licensing, electronic signatures, and other corporate and compliance matters.
Shovkat also has extensive experience in migration and employment law, managing complex work and residence permit matters, preparing objections against administrative penalties, and delivering internal training on immigration legislation.
In addition, she regularly reviews and negotiates sophisticated commercial agreements, including finance, sponsorship, lease, intellectual property licensing, and technology transfer agreements, while supporting complex legal research on industry-specific regulatory issues.
Prior to joining our team, she served as a lawyer at Ernst & Young (EY), where she advised multinational and local clients on corporate, regulatory, and commercial legal matters, with a particular focus on supporting foreign-invested businesses operating in Azerbaijan.
