Samir Shafiyev

Samir is a member of VLM’s legal team and has gained extensive knowledge in the areas of International Maritime Law, Alternative Dispute Resolution and Energy Law. Before joining VLM, he has gained work experience in diplomatic missions such as Permanent Mission of the Respublic of Azerbaijan to the U.N in New-York, the U.S.A. He has also worked for an NGO concentrating on academic research and the improvement of contemporary legal education. Furthermore, he participated in many conferences concerning various research areas. Samir also holds a leading position at an NGO focusing on contemporary issues of international comparative law.
At VLM, Samir mainly contributes our contract law, dispute resolution, maritime law, and energy law practices. With his excellent theoretical background, Samir also assist our team in entangling complicated issues related to international private law.
